The Siemens PG0065 Commercial/Residential Portable Generator is a compact, high performance, air-cooled, engine driven generator designed to supply electrical power to operate electrical loads on job sites, or remote locations where no utility power is available or in place of utility due to a power outage. It has a 6.6-gallon steel fuel tank with built-in gauge, overhead valve engine, low tone muffler and a high performance alternator. The circuit breaker protects the four 5-20R 120V outlets and a L14-30R Twist-lock 120/240V outlet. The unit features a 1-1/4-inch hardened steel tube cradle with locking fold-down handles and includes a never flat wheel kit. The wheels are designed to greatly improve the portability of the generator. They are not intended for over-the-road-use. All necessary hardware is included and some assembly is required. Generator maintenance consists of keeping the unit clean and dry. The Siemens SGN045CBS Liquid Cooled Standby Generator is an ideal system for covering whole house utility failures for most commercial applications including small office buildings, churches, retail centers, schools, and restaurants. Being light weight makes them appropriate for roof mounting. When utility fails, the control is factory set to delay 10 seconds prior to starting the engine and is adjustable up to 30 seconds. The unit ships from the factory ready for use with natural gas and can be converted to propane with a few additional conversion steps. The external mainline circuit breaker has power shutdown that eliminates the need to open the enclosure. The three LED indicator lights represent when the unit is ok (green), needs maintenance (yellow), or the dealer needs to be contacted (red). The unit features automatic high temperature, low coolant, low oil pressure and over speed shutdown and an automatic voltage regulator with over voltage protection. The unit runs a quiet weekly self test and has an Isochronous Electronic Governor and includes a Type N Nexus controller. The Nexus controller monitors utility power, triggers the automatic transfer switch, starts and stops the generator, exercises and monitors the generator for any system faults. It combines the voltage regulator, engine control board and battery charger into one single item. Installation of the unit requires a concrete slab and a section of UL or AGA approved flexible fuel line to protect the rigid fuel line connections against generator vibration. A 1-foot flexible fuel line connector and safety fuse are included. The smart battery charger only delivers a charge to the battery when needed. The recommended battery is a 26 frame battery capable of 525-550cca (not included). Compatible with "SL" Type automatic transfer switches, the unit is UL 2200 Listed and meets EPA Emissions Regulations.
